JMLTCC is one of two skilled nursing facilities owned and operated by Miami-Dade County, Public Health Trust and Jackson Health System to assist Jackson Memorial Hospital with the timely discharge of patients who cannot be easily discharged from the hospital to home or other community nursing homes.

Opened in 1992, Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital is a world-class adult and pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in Miami-Dade County. It is also one of the largest, free standing and most comprehensive trauma centers in the world. The center provides a comprehensive continuum of care to trauma victims including resuscitation, emergency and surgical intervention, diagnostic and medical treatment, intensive care, rehabilitation, and specialized burn care for people from Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, Latin America and the Caribbean Basin. With more than 26 years of experience in saving lives, it is the only trauma center in the nation selected to train the United States Army Forward Surgical Teams prior to deployment to high-risk areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Holtz Children’s Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center is one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the southeast United States, where UHealth - University of Miami Health System physicians treat children from throughout Florida and the Caribbean. Holtz Children’s is known worldwide for its care of critically ill newborns in its neonatal intensive care unit, which is one of the largest in the United States and boasts some of the best medical outcomes. In collaboration with the Miami Transplant Institute, Holtz Children’s is one of only three centers in the country that specializes in pediatric multi-organ transplants. It is home to one of only three state-accredited comprehensive children’s kidney failure centers and one of the largest pediatric kidney transplant programs in the world. Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital (JBHH) is a three-story, 180,000-square-foot facility committed to the highest quality, treatment, and service. Opened in 1999, JBHH consolidates evaluation, clinical treatment, teaching and research, to offer a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults and elderly, including crisis stabilization, inpatient hospitalization, and outpatient programs. In association with the University of Miami Leonard M. Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital is a leader in caring for adult, adolescents and children with brain and spinal cord injuries, medically complex conditions, burns, and hand and orthopedic injuries.
